It's interesting to know how Atty. Fortun will answer Vice Ganda's questions related to the case, especially that of Deniece Cornejo and Cedric Lee's elevator kissing. Also, he will be dancing the 'One minute dance craze' for the first time on GGV, a dance step inspired by Deniece Cornejo's Startalk interview.

The Voice of the Philippines' Maki Ricafort, Paolo Onesa and Thor Dulay, who's  once Vice Ganda's back up vocals on GGV will also join the 'kulitan' in the show.

Don't miss GGV this February 23 after Rated K. Watch the episode preview below.

The Voice of the Philippine Top 8 Vie this September 21 and 22 for Grand Finals Slots

Posted on September 21, 2013 | 8:50 AM

The race to the much-anticipated grand finals of “The Voice of the Philippines” is set as its top 8 artists fight for their survival to win a coveted slot in the top-rating and Twitter-trending singing-reality show’s much-anticipated grand finals.

The Voice of the Philippine Top 8 Vie this September 21 and 22 for Grand Finals Slots

The competition heats up in the last two weeks as “The Voice” airs four Live Shows on September 21, 22, 28, and the grand finals on September 29. Viewers can also vote during Saturday’s Live Shows.

This Saturday (Sept 21) and Sunday (Sept 22), the two remaining artists of the teams of Apl de Ap, Sarah Geronimo, Bamboo, and Lea Salonga will finally face off to determine the top 4 artists who will battle for the “The Voice of the Philippines” title.

The viewing public and the coaches have an equal say on who will advance to the grand finals, as determined by the combined percentages of the public votes on Saturday’s and Sunday’s Live Shows, as well as the coaches’ scores.

Competing for Team Apl are four-chair turners ‘mighty’ Thor and Janice Javier, who will bring years of professional performing experience to the stage. Whose voice will win the hearts of viewers and coach Apl’s?

For Team Sarah, meanwhile, divas Morissette Amon and Klarisse de Guzman will try to outperform each other to remain in the show. Both are young, passionate, and singing competition veterans, but in “The Voice,” the two will be pushed to their limits for their dream of becoming the next singing superstar.

For Kamp Kawayan or Team Bamboo, the competition is down between singing heartthrobs Paolo Onesa and Myk Perez, who seem to have captured the hearts of the public, as proven by their consistent top ranking in the previous Live Shows’ poll results.

Fighting to represent Team Lea in the finals are singing pros Mitoy and Radha, who are expected to turn in an explosive battle of powerhouse vocals. Will Radha get her second shot at fame or will Mitoy secure his place in the limelight?

Who will be declared as the top 4 artists to compete in the grand finals?

The Voice PH Battle Rounds Results (August 3): Thor, Yuki, Angelique, Diday Won Battles

Posted on August 3, 2013 | 10:35 PM

The Battle Rounds of The Voice of the Philippines continues on Saturday (August 3) and another four pairs performed, battling head-to-head for a slot at the live shows.

The Voice of the Philippines - The Battles

First up was Team Apl's Thor Dulay and Sir Lord Lumibao, who brought the house into a whole new level with Boyz II Men's I'll Make Love To You. It was very apparent that Thor was the one at ease with the genre but Sir Lord amazingly did good with the song, fusing rock with RnB. The epic battle ended in favor of Thor Dulay, as most of us expected. [Battle video]

Japs Mendoza and Diday Garcellano, both artists of Team Lea, performed Daylight of Maroon 5. Japs was quite off during the first part of the battle but when the chorus came, the two played great music. That contrast in their voices made the performance worth watching. Coach Lea has spoken up and she chose Diday, yet still aware of Japs' capability as an artist. [Battle video]

Team Sarah's Yuki Ito and Kathreen Castro faced off in the popular Kuh Ledesma song Sino ang Baliw. Yuki started his theatricality sitting on the stairs while Kathreen commenced atop the stage. The battle of Yuki and Kathreen was not smooth-sailing yet their presence was commendable. In the end, coach Sarah Geronimo chose Japinoy Yuki Ito to advance to the live shows. [Battle video]

Angelique, Deb and Nicole were the first to perform among the four triangle fights in The Voice PH. The trio of Team Bamboo sang Adele's Set Fire to the Rain. Coach Bamboo said that on any given night, it could have been any of the three. However, despite loving the voice of Deb and the improvement in Nicole, he eventually picked Angelique, who according to him has the potential. [Battle video]

Tomorrow, the Battle Rounds will proceed with another set of pairs from the four teams. Who will make it to the live shows next? Find out on The Voice of the Philippines, Saturdays after MMK and Sundays after Rated K.

The Voice of the Philippines Battles Heat Up with Triangle Fights

Posted on August 2, 2013 | 4:17 PM

Six pairs and two trios are set to turn up the competition as teams get whittled down in another wave of the Battles Round this Saturday (August 3) and Sunday (August 4) in the country’s top-rating and Twitter-trending singing-reality show “The Voice of the Philippines.”

Three-way battles in The Voice of the Philippines

First up on the battle stage are two ‘gods’– RnB artist Thor Dulay and alternative rocker Sir Lord Lumibao – both coach Apl de Ap’s team members who will deliver a vocal duel of a popular RnB song.

Thor burst through as an early standout in “The Voice” as he was the first artist to trend on Twitter for his performance that made the four coaches push their buttons and turn their chairs during the Blind Auditions.

Despite this, Sir Lord remains unfazed and feels even more challenged to come out of his comfort zone by stepping away from his genre. He said that he also relies on his ability to make outstanding covers of songs and his experience performing in a band.

Also facing off in competitive duets are Penelope Matanguihan, Moira dela Torre, Cara Manglapus for Team Apl; Japs Mendoza vs Diday Garcillano and Taw Muhammad vs Kimpoy Mainit for Team Lea; Angelique Alcantara vs Deb Victa vs Nicole Parada and Paolo Onesa vs the Cordovales duo for Team Bamboo; and Yuki Ito vs Kathreen Castro and Junji Arias vs Dave Lamar for Team Sarah.

Her Blind Auditions was also the first time that the TV viewers experienced the feeling of a coach, listening only to someone's voice without seeing the face.

Thor Dulay impressed everyone with his rendition of the Whitney Houston hit I Have Nothing, a song which has always been a part of every showcase in a talent show. Thor, however, was able to pull something different with the song which captivated the coaches.

The coaches "sold" themselves to Thor but in the end, the singer from Davao chose to be with Team Apl. Watch his performance below. Also watch the coaches perform Hall of Fame (click here).
