Governor-elect Migz Villafuerte to Pursue Sarah Geronimo?

Posted on May 27, 2013 | 2:42 PM

Camarines Sur Governor-elect Luis Miguel "Migz" Villafuerte expressed how much he admires Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimo in his interview with Boy Abunda on The Bottomline aired Saturday, May 25.

"Hinahangaan ko po talaga at gusto kong makilala dati pa ay si Sarah Geronimo. Ngayon pong libre po ako, may oras po ako, sana po magkakilala po kami," Migz told host Boy Abunda.

Migz Villafuerte and Sarah Geronimo: Aren't they look good together?

At 24, Migz defeated his grandfather Rep. Luis Villafuerte in the recent elections to be the youngest governor-elect in Philippine history and while he would be busy come July in his new job as father of Cam Sur, it seems that Migz is now keen on meeting Sarah and pursue his wish to become friends (or more than friends) with the pop princess.

It can be recalled that the young Villafuerte sent a bouquet of flowers to Sarah Geronimo in 2011 out of his desire to make friends with the singer. Migz, however, denied that he's not courting Sarah just yet. "Hindi po nililigawan. Gusto ko muna siya makilala, maging kaibigan, and we’ll see from there," he told dzMM.

Kris Aquino opened the topic about Sarah once again during Migz's recent guesting on Kris TV with dad LRay Villafuerte. The TV host said that Mommy Divine, Sarah's mother will like Migz, who then asked Kris  if she can introduce him to Sarah, the same way he would want Boy Abunda to do the same for him. His dad, meanwhile, said that Migz only needed to give him the go signal so that he can text Mommy Divine, Sarah's mother. The older Villafuerte revealed that he and Mommy Divine has been text mates.

And what is Mommy Divine's advice to Migz according to his dad who has been exchanging text messages with Sarah's mother? It's for Migz not to lose hope.

In a fast talk in one of his TV guesting, Migz said he preferred a wise (over beautiful), talented (over sexy), singer (over actress) and a girl of his age (not younger or older) to be his ideal wife, characteristics which describe Sarah Geronimo.

In fairness to Migz, he did not dwell on being linked with Sarah during his campaign and now that the elections are over, he might as well continue what he has started with the pop star and again try to send her flowers (and fruits and chocolates, as what Jinggoy Estrada advised).

As what he said in his The Bottomline interview, "everything happens for a reason" and probably, now is the perfect time for hook up and meet Sarah in person. Migz just need to make sure that he is persistent and man enough to face the troubles underway.

Villafuerte Family Feud on ABS-CBN's 'KampanyaSerye'

Posted on January 21, 2013 | 12:59 PM

ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs lets you witness the drama inside the world of Philippine politics in the teleserye-like documentary ”KampanyaSerye,” one of the highlights of ABS-CBN’s Halalan 2013 coverage that aims to educate voters who are set to elect a new batch of leaders this May.

Villafuerte Family Feud on ABS-CBN's 'KampanyaSerye'

”KampanyaSerye” will tackle and probe the stories behind campaign promises and rhetorics to bring out the issues that matter to the electorate and show the competencies of aspiring leaders.

It debuted last week in ”TV Patrol” with Alvin Elchico’s five-part report dubbed as ”Giyera sa Kabisera” that followed the much talked-about battle for the Manila mayoralty post between mayor Alfredo ”Dirty Harry” Lim and former president Joseph ”Asiong Salonga” Estrada. Viewers learned about the humble beginnings of Lim and Estrada in politics, how they first competed for a government seat, why the former best friends are now enemies, and many other angles of the controversial feud.

From frenemies to family feuds, ”KampanyaSerye” opens a brand new story this Monday (Jan 21) about the the ongoing rifts in the Villafuerte family in Ryan Chua’s report titled ”Ama, Anak, Apo.” The Villafuertes of Camarines Sur are currently divided by how they envision Camarines Sur.

Camarines Sur Rep. Luis Villafuerte Sr. proposed to divide Camarines Sur into two provinces, but his son Camarines Sur Gov. Luis ”LRay” Villafuerte Jr. is opposing it.

Tension further arose when LRay’s son, Migz, chose to run against his grandfather, Luis Sr., for governor. How will this family feud end? Will they choose to severe family ties for the sake of politics?

Dont miss ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs ”KampanyaSerye,” weeknights on ”TV Patrol.” Watch the whole episode on ANC, the ABS-CBN News Channel (SkyCable ch 27), in a special Producer’s Cut version airing every Saturday, 2:30 PM, and every Sunday, 11 AM, and online via www.abs-cbnnews.com/KampanyaSerye.
