The Year in Music: 68 of 2013's Biggest Hits in One Mashup Video (Pop Danthology)

Before the year ends, let's have a rundown of the top songs which graced the charts in 2013 in a video mashup created by music composer and producer Daniel Kim. The five-minute clip, which took 180 hours to complete, blends together snippets of various music videos.

Known as Pop Danthology 2013, the 68-song compilation features some of 2013′s greatest hits, including Miley Cyrus' Wrecking Ball, Zedd‘s Clarity, and One Direction‘s Best Song Ever, PSY's Gentleman, Katy Perry's Roar and Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines.

56th Grammy Awards 2014 Nominees: Jay Z, Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry

The nominations for the 56th Grammy Awards were announced December 6 by the Recording Academy via a one-hour special titled The Grammy Nominations Concert Live—Countdown to Music’s Biggest Night, held at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.

Jay Z tops the nominations with nine while Kendrick Lamar, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Justin Timberlake, and Pharrell Williams each garner seven nods; Drake and mastering engineer Bob Ludwig are up for five awards. Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, and Katy Perry also got multiple nominations.

The Grammys awards night will happen on January 26, 2014 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Here is the list of nominees for the Grammy Awards 2014:

People's Choice Awards 2013 Winners Announced

The 39th annual People's Choice Awards 2013 happened January 9 (January 10, MLA time) at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California. Hosted by Kaley Cuoco, the show honored the best in television, music and movies — as chosen by the fans themselves.

The Hunger Games and Katy Perry were the big winners in the movies and music category, respectively. Katy won as Favorite Pop Artist and Female Artist, among others while The Hunger Games won as Favorite Movie, Action Movie and Movie Franchise.

The 2012 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) happened September 6 (September 7 in Manila) at the Staples Center Arena in Los Angeles, California. 

Honoring the best music videos from the previous year, the event was hosted by Kevin Hart and attended by the biggest names in the music industry.

Pop Rock Princess Yeng Constantino covers the very first issue of fashion magazine Flique set for a release soon. Yeng rocks the iconic looks of famous pop stars like Rihanna, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga for this Flique Magazine shoot.


Yeng Constantino shows off her fashionable side under the lens of Raymond Saldana and art direction and styling by John Lozano. Flique's maiden issue has pop rock going pop art as cover story.
