ABS-CBN’s top-rating afternoon drama series, “Galema: Anak ni Zuma” will give an action-packed and highly emotional finale that will make viewers love Galema (played by Andi Eigemann) even more.

Since it premiered on September 30, 2013, “Galema” has gotten TV viewers hooked on the charming tale of the good-hearted lass Galema, who was born with twin snakes attached to her neck.

Over the past six months, afternoon viewers joined Galema’s bitter-sweet journey–from her sheltered childhood to her battle with her beastly father Zuma (Derick Hubalde), her marriage with Morgan (Matteo Guidicelli), and up to now that her daughter Sophia is missing.

As the Wenn V. Deramas-directed series nears its end, one mysterious amulet will have the power to end all the harm affecting Galema’s family.

ABS-CBN’s newest afternoon fantasy series “Galema: Anak ni Zuma” charmed TV viewers when it premiered last Monday (September 30) with a 16.6% national TV rating, according to the latest data of Kantar Media.

The new series topbilled by Andi Eigenmann and directed by ‘Master Storyteller’ and box-office director Wenn V. Deramas beat GMA 7′s ““Pyra Babaeng Apoy,” which only rated 8.3%.

Galema, Anak ni Zuma Teleserye Official Teaser; Andi Eigenmann and Matteo Guidicelli Reunited

Check out the official teaser of ABS-CBN's Galema: Anak ni Zuma topbilled by Andi Eigenmann. Andi will again give life to another komiks classic Galema, the daughter of Zuma, who is  known for having a two-headed snake wrapped around her shoulders.

Anak ni Zuma, penned by Jim Fernandez was serialized by Aliwan Komiks from 1976 to 1984 and was adapted in a 1985 movie starring Snooky Serna as Galema and Max Laurel as the evil Zuma.

ABS-CBN's remake of Galema: Anak ni Zuma is directed by Wenn V. Deramas and also stars Sheryl Cruz, Sunshine Cruz, Carlos Morales, Meg Imperial, Kit Thompson, Lito Legaspi, Divina Valencia, Derick Hubalde as Zuma and Matteo Guidicelli as Galema's love interest.

TV viewers will once again witness the highly praised “Maalaala Mo Kaya” episode topbilled by “Walang Hanggan” lead star Coco Martin and “Be Careful With My Heart” heroine Jodi Sta. Maria this Saturday (September 1).

In the story, Coco portrayed the role of Ramon, an underground boxer who grew up as a battered child. At the time when Ramon has decided to change his way of living, unfortunate events forced him to commit crimes which enraged his family.

Jane Oineza Happy that Her Controversial MMK Episode Finally Made it to TV

Ex-“Goin’ Bulilit” child star Jane Oineza is finally relieved now that her much talked about episode in ABS-CBN’s drama anthology, “Maalaala Mo Kaya” was approved for airing this Saturday (June 30). The ‘Cursed Beauty’ episode of “MMK” that deals with teen rape, is Jane’s first-ever starring role on TV.

“I literally jumped for joy upon knowing that it’s finally airing!” said Jane. “Prior the confirmation, I was praying hard about it. That’s why I was so glad when I heard the news that the viewers can finally see it.”

Jane shared that just like the rest of the viewers who saw the teaser, she was anxious but intrigued with the story of Nene when she was offered with the role. She said, “At first, I was nervous to do it. But after reading the script, I was certain that I wanted to play the part. I knew I was ready for a challenging role like Nene.”

When asked about what can the curious viewers expect this Saturday, Jane simply gave hint out an open-ended thought. “Through Nene’s lifestory, I realized that we should not let our suffering rule our life. It should teach us not to give up,” she said.

Jane’s “MMK” episode was recently given the go-signal by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) after its original June 2 airing was postponed due to its sensitive content that earned it an X-rating. ‘Cursed Beauty’ now has a rating of “SPG” or “strong parental guidance” after being thoroughly reviewed by the agency.

MMK 'Cursed Beauty' Episode Starring Jane Oineza Finally Airs this June 30

ABS-CBN was finally given the go-signal by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) to air the controversial Maalaala Mo Kaya episode that deals with the story of a teenage girl who was repeatedly raped, once even at the sight of her own mother. The episode will air this Saturday (June 30).

From the previously obtained X-rating, the ‘Cursed Beauty’ episode was granted by the MTRCB with a rating of ‘SPG’ or ‘strong parental guidance.’ The ‘SPG’ rating was given to the show after being thoroughly reviewed by the agency since its June 2 airing was postponed.

Former Goin’ Bulilit child star Jane Oineza portrays the 15-year-old girl named Nene who was recurrently raped by her stepfather. But her world drastically changed when her mother even assisted her live-in partner in the act of rape. Since then, Nene cursed the ‘beauty’ that she possesses. MMK Episode Starring Jane Oineza Postponed Until MTRCB's Go Signal

The MMK episode starring Jane Oineza will not air this Saturday, June 2 following a pending review by MTRCB. The said episode will be shown on national TV once MTRCB gives it's go signal.

A short statement was released via MMK's official Facebook and Twitter accounts confirming the hold issued by MTRCB for the said controversial MMK episode. The statement says:

"Kapamilya, ABS-CBN has postponed the airing of this week's episode of 'Maalala Mo Kaya' pending a review by the MTRCB. We will be airing it once MTRCB gives the green light."

The MMK episode of Jane Oineza is about a cursed beauty - a teenage girl who was repeatedly raped by his stepfather and at one time in front of her own mother. This controversial and sensitive plot may have caused its hold that even its trailer and promotional photos posted on MMK's official Facebook page was removed.
